We spent the day in Worcester cathedral with two secondary school groups which has been the oldest groups we have worked with so far on the tour. This is soon to be contrasted tomorrow with 85 children from years 1 and 2 in Winchester!
The young people really engaged well with all the workshops, and produced a great performance for the audience who turned up. When it came to the end song (We're putting the world to rights!) - it was more of a dance than a sing!
In full costume, we saw life on the streets of London, life in a Manchester cotton mill and even life in a Victorian circus all come alive with flare and colour.
The local Newspaper (Worcester News) sent along a reporter to get some pictures, and after watching the DVD on street children in the Philippines, the young people were left wondering how they could stand up for the rights of others around the world.
Special thanks to Sue Adeney (in charge of many things including visits for youth and children to the cathedral) who looked after us so well for the day. More pictures here.
