My family own bricks in the Cathedral, It may not be the most traditional looking Cathedral and has been compared to looking like a factory, But it is one of the most beautiful on the inside. I always know I'm "home" when I see it on the horizon

Your right Viv. I think it is one of the lightest Cathedrals I have ever been in. I had my graduation ceremony there so I also have some personel connection.

It was built by the Dove bros building firm and the materials supplied mainly by Moons Timber as they were then called, where my dad was the Manager. My cousin Kate was in the choir there. It has held many ceremonies happy and sad, one of the saddest being the memorial service of young Sarah Payne
