Tender have launched a campaign called Don't Kick it since the start of the world cup. The ex Manchester United and South African footballer Quinton Fortune shares in a short promo video the statistic that there is a 30% increase of violence against girls and women in the UK each world cup season. I have been involved in delivering drama workshops in schools during this period with Tender and this statistic has been a very useful way in to talk about this problem in our culture. Check out a write up of our final performance for the current tender project I have been involved in which finished today. ALSO
If you want to win a signed Manchester United shirt (I know this is not for everyone) you can enter by emailing your name, age, and correct answer ( see theshort promo video) to [email protected]The subject of the email must read DON'T KICK OFF COMPETITION. It ends 1400 hours Sunday 11 July 2010.
