Our first Nativity

This morning Irfana, Zara, Zane and I went to our churches toddlers group. We made a special effort because the toddlers were going to re-enact the Nativity scene. I had word from Jo, one of the leaders (and Zara's God Mum), that no one was playing Mary and Zara might be able to do it. My joy was to be even greater when I discovered that Zara had not only been cast as Mary, but I was to be Joseph and Zane was baby Jesus. Irfana dipped in and out dressing us and snapping photos. Zara was brilliant and took the experience very seriously. She could only walk short steps as her dress was too long and she wore a covering on her head. She was possibly the most authentic looking Mary Trinity Toddlers had had. In this picture we had also picked up Jo's daughter Ava, (Our God daughter)who was playing the star.We were very proud of the three of the, although Zane was asleep, as Jesus most of the time.....The perfect baby!

Scene Change Theatre presents "down to Earth."

Finally Mike North and I have bitten the bullet and launched our new drama project and theatre company Scene Change Theatre for 2010. We are taking bookings from January for "Down to Earth" an environmental drama project for years 4 to 6 looking at issues around Climate Change and our response to it. As both Mike and I were recently made redundant this venture was kept on the back burner, however with the scarcity of jobs at present it seems that this is the right time to launch down to Earth.
