Who said owners look like their dogs?

Head I know that owners are meant to look like their dogs but this was uncanny!! I was Head2 actually on my way to Goldsmiths college in Newcross Gate and I just noticed two flashes of white. So I quickly got my mobile camera out and took a few photos. I have been tempted to come up with a few captions  but not wanting to offend anyone I will keep them to myself.

Phil Gallagher's 40th

Phil_g Last night we celebrated big Phil Gallagher's 40th birthday. It is amazing to think we started together at St Mary's College, Twickenham 21 years ago and he hasn't aged a day. It was also great to catch up with a lot of other friends from that time and the evening turned into a bit of a Simms reunion. All around the room Jo ( Phil's wife) had Simms put up pictures of Phil over the last 40 years. One that stood out was a picture of the St Mary's College football 1st team. We had a good team and won the British Colleges cup and Lensbury cup in 87/88. So I thought I would add a picture from that time too. For more pics check out flickr

Goldsmith's Mug

Mug As I am about to come to the end of the teaching contact of my MA in Applied Drama at Goldsmiths I thought I would reward myself with a Goldsmiths mug. It has been great to get to know and work with people who have the same interests and are in the world of taking creative risks. It made a project like Free For All seem like the norm. I have uploaded some photos from our penultimate session and we have a tool-box blog where shared creative ideas are uploaded. This is a nice legacy from the year that I hope will be a useful resource. I of course still have another year to go of the MA as I am part time, but all my contact time from now on will be done through tutorials only.

Once

Got the film Once out on Dvd a few days ago as I had a free evening to myself. What great little Irish gem of a film. It is basically about a meeting between an Irish busker and a Czech girl living in Dublin. She admires his music in the street and then he discovers she too is a bit of a musician and they get a band together to record some music in a sound studio by the end of the week. It sounds a simple plot and it is but that is why it is so good. Both actors had never acted before (alhough he was in the commitments as Outspan Foster)and were musicians writing all the music themselves. The film won an oscar for best sound track. Check out this live recording in LA of "When your minds made up"
