Free For All at St Albans and Bristol

Tousant This week Free For All has been to St Albans and Bristol Cathedral. In St Albans we worked with over 100 children on each day involving 7 or 8 schools and it is always great to see the children mix more and more as the day goes on. In Bristol we worked with two schools but what they lacked in number they made up for in their exuberence. Here a boy takes on the role of Toussaint L'ouverture who led numerous revolts on the Island of Haiti. Check out our latest news and pics on our Free For All blog. After a weekend rest we are off to Chichester Cathedral next week.

Free For All at Guildford Cathedral

Drum Last week we restarted our last leg of the Free For All Cathedral Tour visiting Guildford Cathedral. Catherine the education Officer was a great host and it was kind of strange to work in a cathedral that I graduated from some 20 years ago...Gulp! The week went very well and it was great to be back on the road after a break in the summer. All photos and a write up can be found on our Free For All blog or on the CMS flikr site. This week we are working in St Abans and Bristol Cathedral so watch this space to find out ho we got on.

Indian Mela in Regents street

Indian_pipe_band On Sunday Irfana, Zara and I went into central London to see an Indian Mela street White_horse party which had taken over the entire length of Regents street. It was part of the India now festival this year to celebrate 60 years of Independence. We got there towards the end of all the fun, but enough to see an Indian Pipe band playing bollywood film tunes on bagpipes, good, food and fashion stalls and various stages and areas of performers. I also got a shudder down my spine as I came face to face with a white wedding horse again, but this time I didn't get on it...Check out more pic on flickr
